God can turn those big scars to bright shining stars!

1 Samuel 2:6 the barren woman gives birth to seven, The Lord both kills and gives life; he brings down to the grave and raises up.2:7 The Lord impoverishes and makes wealthy; he humbles and he exalts.2:8 He lifts the weak from the dust; he raises the poor from the ash heap to seat them with princes

Each of us have had our share of scars. There is no promise that we won't have some pain to go through. This is part of the journey. Many of us are carrying scars around with us every day. Whatever our scars might be, they cause bitter pain. The pain of these scars are just too much for us to endure. Some scars heal with time, others do not. Are there scars in your life? Are there situations that you have found hard to endure? Have you wondered if there was ever going to be healing?

During these trying times, there might be a temptation to question God's care. When the rough times occur, God has a way of reminding us of His love. He brings us through the rough times. He is able to restore us and to make us whole again. God is able to take our scars and turn them into stars. He is able to work all things together for good. (Romans 8:28) What might seem like painful scars, can be turned into bright shining stars.

Jesus remains the balm of Gilead; the great surgeon that will erase the evil marks of our past if we allow Him to enter into our lives through His word .It is only the word of God that can set you free.

Jesus will impart and impact us to become a star out of our scars. Furthermore it is important to remember that a wound does not become a scar until the skin has healed completely. Jesus will allow us to become what God want us to be, it’s possible to turn your wounds into winning. The Bible declares that the sun of righteousness shall arise with healings in his wings. The Lord will surely restore to us the years that the enemy has eaten: years of pains, sufferings, unexplained hatred non achievements, mockery, bondage, lack and so on!

In the book of Genesis 37:3.Joseph was sold by his one blood brothers. He was forgotten.  The enemy thought he has written the last chapter of his life but we thank God Joseph was focused and knew the God he was serving. He had a dream and did not allow the enemy to destroy that dream. Joseph story is a pathetic case, the Bible recorded that Israel loves Joseph more than his brothers the boy was favoured that brought jealousy among his brethren. The powers of the father’s house wanted to terminate him.

Now Joseph’s brothers saw him from a distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him. Genesis 37:19 They said to one another, “Here comes this master of dreams! 37:20 Come now, let’s kill him, throw him into one of the cisterns, and then say that a wild animal ate him. Then we’ll see how his dreams turn out

37:21 When Reuben heard this, he rescued Joseph from their hands, saying, “Let’s not take his life 37:22 Reuben continued, “Don’t shed blood! Throw him into this cistern that is here in the wilderness, but don’t lay a hand on him.” (Reuben said this so he could rescue Joseph and take him back to his father.)

37:23 When Joseph reached his brothers, they stripped him of his tunic, the special tunic that he wore. 37:24 Then they took him and threw him into the cistern. (Now the cistern was empty; there was no water in it.)

Today your problems will become your promotion; your problems will become a stepping stone to your miracles. Perhaps like Joseph something’s  terrible happen in your life; may be you lost something precious ,you lost a job , you lost a loved one, you have been maltreated in your office or in your family you have been forgotten ,you are been living a tail life ,nobody know that you exist or everywhere you go there is a particular hatred.  Don’t be discouraged Jesus will change your situation only if you can believe.

Joseph after his brothers sold him found himself to Potiphar house something that impressed me in the story of Joseph is his commitment to God: the Bible recorded that Joseph was faithful to his master he still remember the God that delivers him from the hands of his enemy, he flee from sins of adultery despite the fact that his masters wife wanted to sleep with him. Even in the prison he was having faith in the God of his fathers and found favour.

In our desert experience we will meet many obstacles such as serpents and scorpions of discouragement, the powers of fathers house will follow us there, remembering our past will not be a solution only our determination to move forward will be of a great help for our step to our deliverance. Sometimes we stay long in the desert of life as a result of lack of determination: If we keep on complaining; murmuring we will stay there and end dying spiritual death.

Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever, he died for us and was humiliated because of us he carried our scars in the cross of Calvary, he paid a price for the redemption of our sins: you have to take a decision today he is there to accept us as we are to start afresh with us for He is a God of new beginning, when He opens a door nobody can close and when He closes no one can open. He is a sovereign God!

If we have scars that are too great to bear; let us find our healing through faith in Christ. In Him, there is healing power that restores us. Through His Spirit, He strengthens us. Through faith in Him, we can endure and grow through the scars. Through the scars, we can let your faith and your gifts come forth. Through your witness, we can point others to the God who is able to turn our scars into stars.

Jesus Christ bears a scar; many scars, in fact. They are the reminder of His days full of pain and suffering on this earth. The Christian faith does not deny the pain, the reality of the wound, or the existence of the scars. But it’s our faith that enables us to go on.

After His resurrection, Jesus appeared before His disciples but they did not recognize Him. It was only when Jesus showed them His scars that they knew Him. John 20:25.

Our faithfulness to God will definitely take us to our promised land and change our scars to stars, change our tears to joy. No matter what we are facing we cannot afford to forget our God. Expect a visitation and remain in the presence of God His presence will sustain us throughout this year. You are not walking alone. Let us go forward in faith read and confess the word of God in any situation we found ourselves. Let us leave the wilderness behind. Jesus will clean all the scars of our past. “Jeremiah 30-1 But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the LORD”

The devil wages psychological and demonic warfare against the children of God; let us believe in the word of God that will change our story and heal our past history.

Set ambitious goals and commit yourself in the word of God “Joshua 1:8 this law scroll must not leave your lips! You must memorize it day and night so you can carefully obey all that is written in it. Then you will prosper and be successful” Read the word of God daily, meditate and confess it at all time make the Bible your friend, keep away from negative

Comforting thought for the week

You have got your scars, some visible, some invisible, some more visible with age. Maybe hurt feelings, a broken heart, disappointment, anger or bitterness left a sign on your heart and soul. Every single one tells its own story. Your Saviour also has scars to prove His love for you. If you do not know Him, like Thomas, if you cannot believe, Jesus will graciously show you His scars “that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name.” John 20:31. If you still struggle with your painful past, Jesus tells you: “I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee.” 2 Kings 20:5. Peter wrote that by His wounds and scars we have been healed (1 Peter 2:24).

Our prayer for you today

Our heavenly father we acknowledge that there is no healing from the hurt and the pain, the feelings of hopelessness and defeat remain without your help. We have made a decision not to allow the hurt and pain of the scars to make us feel hopeless. Instead, we have decided to take hold of the hand of Jesus. He will raise us up. He will speak to us and give to us hope and healing. We pray that you may give us faith to hold on. With you heavenly father we believe you are able to turn our scars into stars. In the sacred of Jesus Christ we pray.  Amen.
