One of best known peace stealer is fear. Don’t make an idol of it, and worship at the feet of your worry (or fear) - rather than the feet of your God. I've found that in my deepest moments of struggle during these times of pandemic, it has not been a result of God forsaking me, but of ME taking my eyes off of HIM. I’ve let myself make the voices I hear and the negative information about this pandemic more important - BIGGER - than God. It's like I've said, "My fear is greater than God's ability to overcome it." It sounds so harsh when I put it like that. I don't like to think of it that way. I prefer to think of it as "my pandemic struggles." But as long as I continue to allow my mind to engage in these thought patterns, I will never really experience that peace I'm longing for. I have to allow the Prince of Peace to really and truly rule.

Are you struggling to eliminate fear and find peace during these times of COVID 19? Maybe it's time to put Him back on the throne. It's time to see this world pandemic as it is “a peace-stealer”. It’s time to turn away these "pandemic struggles" to one who is greater than them – TO THE PRINCE OF PEACE our God Almighty and our savior Lord Jesus Christ. It’s only way to eliminate our fear.

Prince of peace will give us hope.

There’s only one way to eliminate fear during this pandemic - turn to God. He is so powerful that He can transform even the worst of situations into something beautiful. It can be difficult to imagine why God would ever let His children suffer, just like we are suffering right now with this pandemic, but the truth is that God is always in control. Nothing happens in our lives that He is not aware of. God has a great plan for our lives! He knows that we’re struggling through this painful season of COVID 19, but He can sustain us during these worst times. We can rely on God when we are struggling, because we know He is in control. In 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 it says “We were crushed and completely overwhelmed, and we thought we would never live through it. But as a result, we learned not to rely on ourselves, but on God who can raise the dead.”

The Prince of Peace has Purpose for our Pain

Using the lenses of this pandemic we might not see this now, but God has a purpose for the pain that we are going through in whatever form it has come. It’s okay to ask God what His plan is, and to reveal His purpose for it. He might not answer right away, but through dealing with our circumstances we will begin to see light on the other side.

We’re never alone when we invite the Prince of Peace.

Even when we feel like God isn’t there, He’s really standing next to us planning the next steps of our lives. He is not letting us go through the pain alone! We can find hope that we have an advocate and teacher walking with us each step of the way. Hebrews 13:5-6 says “For God has said, I will never fail you. I will never forsake you. That is why we can say with confidence, The Lord is my helper, so I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

James 1:2-4 says "Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything." Instead of letting the pain push us down, we should use it as a way to increase our faith in God. God has a purpose for the pain we are going through and will turn these struggles into something beautiful. Speak to God and ask for Him to help you cultivate hope through Him.

Prince of Peace is Love.

When we have the Prince of Peace -we have love.  Love for ourselves and others. Love is the greatest commandment. It has the power to change our lives and lives of those around us. When you love yourself, you love others; it is unconditional and requires no repayment from the recipient. Love is a very powerful force that can change a life, touch a heart, and bring people of different backgrounds and colors together in unity.

If you are a person of faith, then it is imperative to walk out the scriptures and be a part of the solution that showers this world with love, one person at a time. Showing the love of God to a hurting and a discouraged person is a part of your Christian faith and journey in life.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this, all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:34-35). "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you" (John 15:12).

The Prince of Peace is True Happiness!

With this pandemic, we must recognize that there is nothing we can depend on to be happy- not our money, not our titles, not our qualifications, not our intellectual knowledge, not even our loved ones! This pandemic is not a respecter of any of these.  True happiness will only come from the Prince of Peace. Don’t depend too much on anyone or anything to give you peace during these times because “even your own shadow leaves you when you are in darkness”. The inner happiness and peace is only God given.

The Prince of Peace is the Eternal Life

While things may seem dark and bleak now, we can find hope that one day we will be with our Father in heaven – we will meet the Prince of Peace. Romans 8:18 says “What we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will give us later.” Think of how great our lives will be when we leave this earth and enter our eternal home! That sliver of hope, knowing that this is not how things will be forever, is sometimes all we need to get through to the next day. Pray to God and let Him know how you look forward to meeting Him one day.
